Flaneur
Perfume Brand about Walking in the Chicago as a Stranger2024
Flaneur is a fragrance brand that captures the experiences and emotions of random walks in Chicago. Flaneur is a French term used by nineteenth-century French poet Charles Baudelaire to identify an observer of modern urban life. It captures the process of unknowing where you will end up, collecting objects, remembering places, and getting to know new places. The objects are scented with herbal and woody fragrances reminiscent of the lake.

TerTorPhotography-based Magazine Exploring London's Intimate Living Spaces2020
Magazine TerTor is about five international Londoners,
Magazine TerTor is about five international Londoners, who each introduced their intimate territories in the city. Barbican, Tate Britain, Hampstead Heath, Pimlico are introduced with personal narratives and voices.

How it started
This project began with a curiosity about the places people truly cherish when living in a new city, rather than the must-visit tourist spots. I was also curious about what spaces exist in people’s memories. I conducted research in magazine shops in London, studying the various formats and themes of current magazines to develop a theme.

Typeface
Since it was an intimate personal narrative about space, I focused on capturing close-up shots and tightly framed spaces, emphasizing a personal feel through ink-blurred typography.

Daydream

Desk tools such as clips, threads, ruler, knives are renamed after its traits and characteristics. It questions what we can imagine over our conventions, which is daydreaming on the desk. Worked with Centaur typeface.

How to Enjoy the Book
Cards are wrapped it in soft fabric, so it can be unfolded like a picnic on the grass, allowing one to read and enjoy the book on top.

Refresh for Connection
BFA Graduation Exhibition, Collaborative Team Project2021

Identity Design Team
I was responsible for the exhibition identity ideation and design for the graduation exhibition as a team. I worked as a designer, handling overall concept, as well as creating applications like brochures based on the design guidelines.

Exhibition Concept
The concept centered around “Refresh for Connection,” highlighting the new wave of designers. The branding is inspired by the dynamic movement of waves, and it encompasses various banner sizes and formats. I designed and printed the banners myself.

The Sensoria
Curatorial Proposal for Multi-sensorial Outdoor Biennale in Chicago2024
Curatorial Statement
The Sensoria, a biannual art festival explores how art engages the human senses. In today’s fast-paced digital world, where we often lose touch with the tactile, olfactory, and gustatory dimensions that ground us. The Sensoria reconnects us through installations by eight visionary artists and designers, each exploring sensory perception and synesthesia.

City-based  Exhibition
The festival blurs the line between fine art and design, taking place across multiple locations, including a public art festival in Chicago. These spaces invite audiences to experience art through their senses in new ways.

Design Is
Floor Vinyl Using the Kennerley Typeface for the Design Is Exhibition2025
For the Design Is exhibition at the Design Museum of Chicago, I designed and produced vinyl graphics for the floor. I researched 30 quotes, discussed them with the museum, and selected 12 to be displayed.

Typeface
To create contrast with the floor, I used white vinyl and chose the Kennerley typeface, originally designed by Frederic W. Goudy and later revised by Paul D. Hunt for Lanston Type Co. This typeface was selected to reflect the museum’s role as a nonprofit institution dedicated to Chicago’s design community.

Room
Paper Collage Series and Personal Writings
2024
Work explores the intersection and chemistry between personal writing and space, using vibrant and pop-inspired colors to convey inner narratives. Through this fusion, I create experiences that transform personal reflections into dynamic visual expressions.

Jungle
Paper Sculpture of Deep Jungle, Collaborative Team Project2017
Paper sculpture of Jungle for the SNU Space exhibition—created by a group of three, with me designing and cutting the papers. We built small-scale mockups, sketched and cut the paper, and installed the structure using rods. Located at the center of the school, it attracted significant attention.

This experience was a case where I developed a strong attachment to paper and realized that cutting it suited me and intrigued me. I also learned about the texture, brand, and colors of paper.
